There is an air of change within the ranks of Rocksteady Studios. Through a press release published on its social profiles, the London studio confirmed the farewell of the co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker.

In the letter, the two former executives briefly retrace the history of Rocksteady: from its founding in 2004 and their early works as Urban Chaos, passing through the success of the series Arkham and until imminent Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

Here is the full letter translated into Italian:

“Our decision to leave Rocksteady was touching to say the least! From the day we founded the company in 2004 until today, Rocksteady has been our life and soul. It gave us the opportunity to do what we love most: making great games with exceptionally talented people. We are very proud of our team for the games we have all made together, from our Urban Chaos, to the beloved Arkham series and now to the epic Suicide Squad.

But there's something more special about Rocksteady that goes beyond the games we make, and everyone who works here feels it. It is the incredible moments we have shared over the years, the friendships that have been created and the care this team has for each other that have made this unforgettable journey so special. We believe that people wear their Rocksteady shirts with pride in the way we treat each other and how it feels to be here. We want to thank the team for their hard work and everything they do to make this place so beautiful.

Some of our proudest moments happened thanks to the energy and talent of this team: the chance to work with Warner Bros. and DC on Batman, the wonderful Arkham games that were so much more than we could have imagined, the possibility to work with some of our childhood heroes, returning to the industry we love so much by helping budding creators, and finally building a culture here where people can just be themselves and create great games together.

A very special ingredient in all of this is Rocksteady fans. Their enthusiasm and support for what we do is the fuel that drives us to give the best of ourselves. They are the extended Rocksteady team and we thank them very much for giving us energy for the past 18 years! Now that Suicide Squad is in safe hands and the team is stronger than ever, the time has come to pass the reins and embark on a new adventure in video games.

Nathan and Darius have been demonstrating their passion and skill in Rocksteady for many years. They are industry veterans and we know that their commitment to Rocksteady, their talent and their energy will take the team to even higher levels. We couldn't be happier that they are leading the future here and we wish them the best. "

Rocksteady's leadership will be entrusted to another pair of veterans: Nathan Burlow (Studio Head) e Darius Sadeghian (Product Director). As for Hill and Walker, the couple is already thinking about theirs next project, located again within the gaming market.
