In the past few hours the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto announced via profile Twitter of Nintendo of America that the film of Super Mario Bros.. currently in production at Illumination Studios (Minions, Despicable Me) has been officially postponed.

Initially, the film distributed by Universal was supposed to be released in theaters around the world during the Christmas period of 2022, but apparently we will have to wait until the spring of next year, as the new release date has been set for April 2023.

We do not have many details regarding the reason for this delay, and therefore we just have to wait for official news regarding the film. We remind you that the stellar cast of voice actors for the Super Mario Bros. film will include Chris Pratt in the role of Mario, Charlie Day in the role of Luigi ed Anya Taylor-Joy like Princess Peach. The legendary Jack Black will be Bowser's voice, while Seth Rogen will play Donkey Kong.
