With the increase in infections due COVID-19, the organizers of trade fairs and conferences planned for next year are already starting to back off. Among these, also the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced the cancellation of the next edition of E3.
In a press release posted on their Official site, the institution confirmed the cancellation of the next event, initially planned as an event in attendance, to safeguard the safety of participants and exhibitors.
“Due to the current health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees, E3 will not be held in attendance in 2022. We remain incredibly excited about the future of E3 and look forward to it. 'time to release more details. "
At the moment, however, ESA has not specified whether the next edition of E3 will have an online alternative like last year, or if we will have to wait for the next edition scheduled for 2023 and which (hopefully) will be held in attendance.
