Fifa 21, Electronic Arts and the mode Ultimate Team have been overwhelmed by a real scandal. In fact, it seems that an anonymous employee of the team behind the latest edition of the famous football simulator has started selling some of the rarest and most unobtainable digital players, stealing thousands of dollars from the company and unbalancing the online mode of the game.

According to initial user surveys Arcade-Fut, buyers were contacted through the various messaging apps by the seller himself, ready to offer several bundles containing the players of the series Icon Moments, cards that are very difficult to find and that in recent days have reached exorbitant prices, ranging between 720 and of 1200 €.

EA's response came as soon as the case appeared among the trending topics on Twitter under the hashtag #EAGate. The software house is currently working on investigations to identify any suspicious behavior by the staff:
