In the past few hours, actor Chad Rook (who will play the character of Richard Aiken, a member of STARS) has revealed on Twitter the official release date of the new movie on resident evil, which will act from reboot for the franchise to the cinema, thus adapting the first two chapters of the Capcom franchise.

The film will hit US theaters (and presumably Europe too) next September 3th, and as announced by the director Johannes Roberts, will fully resume the atmosphere of tension and horror that was breathed in the first chapters of the brand.

At the moment the cast consists of the following actors:

  • Chris Redfield: Robbie Amell (Fred Jones in Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster) 
  • Jill Valentine: Hannah John-Kamen (Ava Starr / Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp)
  • Leon S. Kennedy: Avan Jogia (Beck Oliver in Victorious ed iCarly)
  • Albert Wesker: Tom Hopper (Luther Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy)
  • Ada Wong: Lily Gao (Nancy Gao in The Expanse)
  • William Birkin: Neal McDonough (Deadshot in Batman: Assault on Arkham)
  • Chief Brian Irons: Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock in Gotham)
