After the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and Ever Soldier, the news shows no sign of stopping. The latest news concerns a change of role within the development team. Tetsuya Nomura he has in fact abandoned the role of director for the next few chapters of the upcoming remake series.

The news comes from an interview with Famitsu, translated by the twitter user @aitaikimochi, in which Nomura claims to have "An unprecedented number of projects" in progress and, consequently, prefers to leave his role to Naoki Hamaguchi, who is already familiar with the project given his role as co-director of the first chapter. Nomura will still be involved in the future of the series as creative director.
