Jason Schreier has indeed interviewed one of the developers of the project, who revealed that after the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the failure of Anthem, the team decided to eliminate the component completely multiplayer of the new Dragon Age, thus focusing on creating an experience single player as complete and satisfying as possible.
