The future of Google Stadia will pass exclusively from the distribution of games edited by third parties. The US company has in fact closed all dedicated internal studies.

Presented with great fanfare at the announcement event of the streaming videogaming platform, the in-house studios dedicated to the creation of exclusive titles have closed their doors. The Stadia Games and Entertainment there therefore they leave without having produced even a game. The nearly 150 developers are awaiting relocation to other internal divisions.

It is not clear, however, whether this is the beginning of a change in strategy towards Google Stadia, perhaps in search of a more economically sustainable model (even for players), or the first evident sign of a crisis that could be profound and not healed.
