It's over now one month after the release of the next generation consoles. As promised by many software houses, many cross-gen games are updating to adapt their performance to the potential of the new hardware.

This time it's up to God of War, as announced by Sony Santa Monica in a company blog post. Although the game is now over two years old, it will still receive a patch that will improve graphics, FPS and resolution on PlayStation 5.

The update is available from today, February 2, 2021 and effectively combines the two options present in the PlayStation 4 pro version. If before the player was forced to choose whether to favor performance or resolution, now he will have both available.

This results in a resolution in 4K and 60 FPS, but it will still be possible to lower the framerate to 30. The patch will be completely free.
