Takaya Imamura, a designer famous for creating some famous Nintendo characters, leaves the company after 32 years of work.
Famous for creating the design of the likes of Fox McCloud and Captain Falcon and for playing the role of art director for Star Fox 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (the character of Tingle it's his doing), Takaya Imamura leaves Nintendo. He communicates it to fans with the following post on Facebook:
“Last day of work, behind me is the building where my office is located, it's all empty. Thinking that I will not return here makes me sad, but I have to congratulate myself on these 32 years of work!
In fact, Imamura has worked for the Big N since 1989, creating highly recognizable-looking characters and overseeing some of the likes of the first Super Smash Bros.
