EA Play, after arriving within the Xbox Game Pass for console, will also make its landing on the PC version, but later than previously expected. Microsoft has indeed communicated with a note, which appeared on the official website Xbox Wire, which will still have to wait.
“When did we initially plan this post, which would have announced the availability of EA Play on PC within Xbox Game Pass, had to be slightly different. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a celebratory post is now asking you for a little more patience: We have made the decision to delay the arrival of EA Play on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate members to 2021. We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are in helping communities and people discover great games and we knew we could provide a great experience for users by working together. To do this, we need more time to deliver the Xbox Game Pass experience. We will share more information early next year; As always, we appreciate your support as we work to provide this experience for Xbox Game Pass members. Stay tuned for more information ”.
EA Play is already available on console for all Game Pass subscribers in the corresponding version (and clearly for Ultimate members). PC users should have been able to take advantage of the service starting today, December 15, before Microsoft and Electronic Arts opted for this delay.
