Remember when Capcom he added in-game advertising, causing such a negative reaction from the community that it convinced the company to do reverse gear? Apparently 2K Games had not been warned of the shitstorm and started putting advertisements inside NBA 2K21, the last chapter of the game dedicated to the American basketball federation.
Looks like unskippable ads are back in NBA 2K21.
This ad for Oculus Quest 2 shows up when you're loading into a game.
$ 70 game btw. pic.twitter.com/EjrEs7qbXV

In this clip initially loaded by the channel Stevivor, we see a small commercial dedicated to Oculus Quest, the latest product linked to the Oculus series of virtual reality viewers. Obviously, this 2K move didn't please gamers very much, especially if these ads turn out non-jumpable, denying players the ability to immediately start the game once the loading is complete.
NBA 2k21 has taken the higher $ 70 base price for games we're now sometimes seeing, and has added UNSKIPPABLE ADS during loading. What the fuck? That's aside from predatory MTXs which are baked into multiplayer AND SINGLEPLAYER.
What the fuck 2k? This is beyond shameful.

Believe it or not, this is the second time 2K Games has implemented this type of advertising. In fact, in 2019, some commercials dedicated to the shoe line old school Converse were inserted into the uploads of NBA 2K19.
What to say: "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?"
