Yakuza, the saga created by Toshihiro Nagoshi, will soon arrive in cinemas. What can we expect from this new film?

SEGA has confirmed that it is already working on the live action film of the videogame saga Ryu Ga Gotoku (known in the West as Yakuza) which will be completely detached from the first Japanese adaptation released in 2007. The feature film will be produced by Roberto Grande, Joshua Long and Erik Barmack thanks to the production companies Wild Sheep and 1212. The spokesperson of the latter has already expressed about the adaptation saying:

“Yakuza offers us a new scenario in which to set engaging stories with complex characters and a unique setting that viewers have rarely seen. Kazuma Kiryu's story is very cinematic, thanks to a mix of action, comedy, numerous converging storylines and paths of redemption ”.

At the moment the project is still in the early stages of development, in fact at this moment it is underwaya research to the writers. Pending the arrival of Kazuma Kiryu at the cinema, we remind you that Yakuza 7 will be available from 13 November for PS4, PC and Xbox One and, later, for Xbox Series X and PS5.
