Guild Wars 2 finally lands on Steam. The news comes, somewhat surprisingly, during theAnniversary Livestream organized to celebrate the eighth birthday of the famous MMORPG developed by ArenaNet and distributed by the Korean NCSoft.
The title will be available on the platform starting next November, with the aim of expanding the already vast playerbase present in the world of Tyria. As specified in the dedicated page, however, the login via Steam will be allowed to players who have not yet registered a game account: it will not be possible to access existing ones through the Valve store.
Guild Wars 2 adopts a "buy-to-play" economic model: the basic version of the game is free, while a purchase is required for the two expansions released so far, Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire, which guarantee full access to the game world. A third, without an official name yet, is scheduled for 2021.
