Fortnite is about to dive even further into the Marvel universe. On August 27, the new season of Chapter 2 will be released and Epic has released the first teaser showing what's in store for players. Nothing more than the logo of Fortnite accompanied by that of Marvel, a short but clear message.

This tweet confirms the rumors circulated in recent days about a new collaboration between Fortnite and Marvel. Data miner Hypex had found clues regarding some Wolverine and Thor themed skins, and the emoticons that accompany the teaser seem to confirm at least the second.

This is not the first meeting between Fortnite and Marvel. As early as 2018, a mode allowed players who found the Infinity Gauntlet hidden in the map to play as Thanos. Last year, however, to celebrate the release of Avenger's: Endgame, players could wield the Avengers' weapons against Thanos.

Most recently Fortnite had hosted a crossover with Dead Pool and a link to the Marvel's Avengers beta. And this new Avengers-themed title, whose release is scheduled for early September, could be the motivation behind this season's choice of theme.
