Recently, the last one updating Doom Eternal caused quite a few problems for PC gamers. By introducing the Denuvo Anti-Cheat, Bethesda ed Id Software hundreds of complaints and negative reviews were found in the hands. The reason is clear: the anti-cheat had access to the Ring 0 of kernel Windows, resulting not only as rootkit, but also as malware according to some anti-viruses.
Well, it seems that id Software has decided to listen to community feedback. The next update on PC, in fact, will remove definitely the offending software, ending this story with a probable happy ending. However, id will use its resources to find a less invasive way or another anti-cheat to stem the problem of cheater that plague online mode.
