Marvel Studios have decided to postpone the release of all the films of phase 4. Among these, also the now ready Black Widow.
Due to the recent pandemic that has hit the whole world, all Marvel feature films (and beyond) will see a delay in the cinema. The new dates have been made official by Jeremy Conrad via Twitter, and you can find them below.
New MCU Phase 4 Slate:
Black Widow - November 6th, 2020
Eternals - February 12, 2021
Shang-Chi May 7, 2021
Doctor Strange 2- November 5, 2021
Thor: Love and Thunder - February 18, 2022
Black Panther 2 - May 8, 2022
Captain Marvel 2 - July 8, 2022
- Jeremy Conrad (@ManaByte) April 3, 2020
As you can see, Black Widow has been referred back to 6 November, going to deny the rumor that he wanted it exclusively Disney +. All films have been postponed for a few months, with the exception of Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2 which did not yet have an official release date.
What do you think of this move? Would you have preferred a release on Disney + for the black widow stand-alone?
