After the eventful launch of the model Vive Cosmos standard, occurred recently, HTC has decided to expand the product line with three new viewers: Elite, Play e XR. Each of them is designed for a specific range of players, from newbies to true fans of the VR world, and has different characteristics (and price). Here is the list of versions and their peculiarities:

  • Lives Cosmos Play - $ 500
    • Designed for beginners
    • 4 cameras for inside-out tracking
    • Cosmos controller

Cosmos Play lives

  • Vive Cosmos - $ 700
    • Designed for enthusiasts
    • 6 cameras for inside-out tracking
    • Cosmos controller

Vive Cosmos

  • Lives Cosmos Elite - $ 900
    • Designed for hardcore users
    • SteamVR Tracking (includes two base stations)
    • Vive Wand controller

Cosmos Elite lives

  • Vive Cosmos XR - Price not yet announced
    • Developer kit
    • Inside-out tracking (4 cameras + 2 pass-through HQ cameras)
    •  Cosmos controller

Cosmos XR lives

Judging by the photos, moreover, it seems that the Play viewer will not have an integrated audio compartment and you will need to use the 3.5mm jack port to connect your headphones. As for the devkit, more information about it will be revealed at GDC 2020 of March.
