Mortal Kombat's cinematic universe expands. After live action scheduled for 2021, a spin-off dedicated entirely to Scorpion has been confirmed. The iconic yellow ninja will star in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, arriving in the first half of this year.
The title indicates a story focused on Scorpion's revenge against the assassins of his clan, that is, the default version of his character from the beginning of the saga, even if at the moment the relations between him and Sub-Zero are not so tense.
The return of Patrick Seitz and Steve Blum as Scorpion and Sub-Zero has been confirmed, news regarding the rest of the cast: Joel McHale will play Johnny Cage and Jennifer Carpenter will be the new Sonya Blade. Ed Boon, video game co-creator, will act as production consultant.
