La beta of Modern Warfare will offer much more content than alpha, which we remember will not be updatable. For beginners, the mode 2v2 Gunfight will be part of the beta, along with the more traditional 6v6 modes. Infinity Ward has confirmed that they will be available mode with a greater number of players, but we're still not sure what it means. 10v10, 20v20 and beyond, may be present. We hope that the 64 and 100 player modes are also present.
The developer said that players can expect different game maps, but the exact number and names of the maps have yet to be officially revealed. We do know, however, that maps and modes will be added throughout the weekend.
There will also be many of the new mechanics and features of Modern Warfare, including the Gunsmith weapon customization tool, some kill series, field upgrades and perks. Some maps will also include night gameplay.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta cross-play
Since the second beta of Modern Warfare will be available on all platforms, cross-play will be enabled on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Matchmaking will be decided based on the input method. So, if you play with a controller, regardless of the platform, you'll be paired with others who in turn use a controller. This also means that players with mouse and keyboard on the console will be paired with PC players who use the same control method.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available starting from 25 next October on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
