It looks like Nightwolf is the next DLC character coming out for Mortal Kombat 11.
The creator of the saga as well as head of NetherRealm Ed Boon has posted an image that shows clear references to the wrestler mentioned above.

Nightwolf was officially confirmed as a DLC character, part of the first trance of fighters released with the Kombat Pack of Mortal Kombat 11. The very first character of the aforementioned DLC to be available was Shang Tsung. The other confirmed fighters are: Sindel and Spawn. The latter, for those not familiar, is a character that comes from the Star Comics world, created by the pencil of Todd McFarlane.
The advertisement made by creator Ed Boon on his Twitter account followed a whole week of speculation about Nightwolf's arrival.
At the beginning of this week the user Reddit Thethiny, always very involved in the issues related to the saga created by Ed boon, took a look at the latest patch for the PC version of Mortal Kombat 11. He found more references to Nightwolf, including: the interludes of the characters, including the final ones, and even suggestions for the use of the game towers. Random wanted this to be exactly the kind of stuff that Thethiny brought to light about to the character of Shang Tsung, just before the evil wizard was added to the roster of the game.
Also thanks to the latest PC version patches were discovered: references to Ash by Evil Dead, Joker by Batman and the characters (this time by Mortal Kombat himself) by Fujin and Sheeva. These references were found for the first time, coinciding with the release of the Nintendo Switch version of the game, and then reappeared here.
Based on the jingles issued towards the end of the official Kombat Pack 1 trailer, players have speculated that Ash from Evil Dead and The Terminator will join the game as guests.
Perhaps Fujin, Sheeva and Joker will instead be part of the second wave of DLC characters.
Returning instead to Nightwolf, the latter could see the light as soon as possible. In fact Mortal Kombat 11 will be one of the flagship games during the CEO fighting tournament to be held in Florida this weekend. The stage is ready.
