Gaucho!

Take a bit of Motorstorm, add a pinch of Trial Fusion, add a dash of Fast and Furious and a sprinkling of NFS underground, then mix everything with Brickleberry rednecks. Put some bugs here and there and here you are served Arizona Derby, a title with a great basic aspiration, namely that of rising, without success and in a rather ridiculous manner, toioco off-road of illegal racing hard and pure. Exception made (perhaps) for a graphic in Unreal Engine 4 worthy of note. But let's go with the bugs, sorry I meant with order.

Monster-super car
Monster-super car

Here I am and you're my rocket queen.

You are in a sort of abandoned shed very too fast too rural furious, with some associates that are exalted without reason in the middle of the aforementioned steampunk ruin. A graphic rendering that at first glance looks really bad, especially for sprite and antialising, but what glitters is not all gold.LUCCICA keep this word in mind.

Siberian Run
The "Siberian Run" map

It's time to choose your Avatar, which is why click on Adriver and make your own clone from dirt for which the customization turns out to be too standardized, only pre-set models, with a few "cosmetic" touch-ups in order to make your alter-ego ganzo at the right point. Bandana and gloves in tow and off we go ... unfortunately.

Then go to options, choose the level of difficulty of the AI, choose your beast from dirt, ad hoc to make her mess up that not even a wrestling damsel in the mud, keeping in mind, however, that at the beginning you only have one vehicle: the so-called Phonomenon, a sort of Zonta with the classic transmission of a monster-truck that not even the tarantula Steampunk by Wild, Wild, West. A bit like putting a parmesan under a cheesecake. Both exquisite but their fusion is abomination!

Click on Play and with only one game mode available, (yes, you have understood it almost as an "infinite" run of chips in the game room) choose the circuit and go wild with your 4wd like grand touring cars or super cars, the only fun the most dollars to earn and experience points possible. This is thevideogame apatìa which corresponds to the name of Arizona Driver. That's all.

The mighty forest

Toretto because you are Toretto (in the mud).

The objective is to beat the gangs with their bosses in clandestine off-road races for the whole globe from Canada to Siberia passing through Dubai, but without any online mode, and we are certainly not talking about an adventure in single- player to be delivered to posterity but of a normal race on dirt, end. The only peculiarity is to look for race after race sharpen the technique, thanks to the achievement of more experience points in the classic dirt road parameters such as being able to perform more and more lasting acrobatics in the air, without forgetting speed, important but sometimes counterproductive. In this regard, it is impossible to perform your vehicle so fast in Siberia Run without looking like experienced Pljuščenko.

Nitro, mud and drunkenness of speed. What a waste!

Nitro, gas and puddles..in a disused warehouse.

As for customization, there is primarily Tweak or aesthetic retouching and canonical tuning. You can in this regard customize your 4wd with steroids between: rims, tires, license plate (although not customizable with so much of a name as in Forza Horizon for example), aileron, and the usual aesthetic chincaglieria for instance. Coming to the actual tuning, besides the classic parameters concerning springs, transmission and hydraulic damping, there are no camber and anti-roll bar. But you can't expect everything from life. With the exception of the lack of the online and the bugs: yes, that must be expected.

Then there is the upgrade of the performances with a given cost, as in any self-respecting car game, and that is not also branded by a particular car series, and includes therein: engine power, aerodynamics, and a lot aspect interesting that concerns the choice of nitro capacity and its power. Found somewhat succulent for the purists of the latter tuning, in fact for the purposes of the race it is necessary to understand how much nitro it serves regarding the asperities of the circuit to face.

Coming to the loot-box sector my love (but no), Arizona Derby offers 500000000 dollars to buy cars and anything else, a rather exorbitant amount compared to the usual fees, which allows us to acquire a generous fleet of machines and some of the mentioned lootbox, to emulate the classic Yankee billionaires. As Dan Bilzerian teaches. Puelle "from little magazines" apart. Clearly a choice that directs the end user towards a crossroads: either the best performing cars or the most slavish tuning to Toretto and his companions; apparently indeed you don't need real money to buy the game modes, as there are currently no various DLCs planned.

In delivery you can in fact find the incriminating loot boxes, but be careful, this is not material from wallet to hand, but can be purchased with the virtual dollars made available initially by the game itself. For a bug in the game, but the latter are not selectable pointer to the hand, in fact they flow continuously TV sales to Mastrota without being able to click on it. At present, no DLCs are provided for payment in the strict sense. In Community you can check your progress and compare them with those of your friends. This represents the only online component, if it can be defined as such.

Micro "mud" Machines

Vehicle Physics is quite disappointing, almost like an Android game, especially in the wheelies. After picking up speed on the back of the pseudo-monster-truck, on the irregularities of the track, the vehicle (bullet time effect apart) seems to be sailing in a bubble for a few seconds, but that in the most hectic phases of the race seems to last a eternity. A very neurotic and emphatic driving system, especially when there is no reason, it distinguishes this skinny adventure from spikes in the ground, with the wheels wrapped in a motion-blur effect of impact.

Gig Nikko who are you?
Gig Nikko who are you?

The wheels fit together too easily, in fact find yourself entwined like a lap dancer both to your opponents and to the trees (the Canadian Trophy circuit in the first place) is quite easy. Arizona Driver presents a driving system that is far too neurotic, with too irregular bumps and only aesthetic damages, in fact there is no type of mechanical damage, neither due to fate nor to the adversaries and nor to any asphalt shattering.

Nice but revisable..Graphically speaking.

The desert of life
The desert of life

The overall graphic detail turns out to be of substantial level: the polygonal models of the vehicles seem discreet, as well as the particle effects, the refraction of the position lights of your hybrid-super sport truck and the circuit settings. Nothing to complain in substance, in fact the graphic engine, although very heavy, seems to be qualitatively very solid. Despite this, the general optimization seems to suffer from some choices quite at random: too bad because the overall realization is quite good, so much that it vaguely resembles the Microsoft Horizon.

The off-road oasis? But no!
The off-road oasis? But no!

To be reviewed: pop-up lighting effects that affect the qualitative performance in its entirety, the same for the reflections on the cars and the translucency, the shimmer put a little haphazardly on the vehicle bodywork (as if they were sparkling teapots polished in an episode of Tom and Jerry), the flares of fireworks visually rather invasive (if you suffer from epilepsy avoid this game because such flashes as long as they appear to be quite annoying) and dulcis in fundo the inconceivable luminous overexposure of the shaders goes to disconcert chromatic reflections on cars and beyond. In fact, in the fractions of a second in which the vehicle is immersed in streams of water, a sort of slide effect is created.

I miss a four 80 tracks.

Be careful not to operate too much Nitro on frozen asphalt

For what concerns the audio sector instead the noise of the vehicles is very bad, it almost seems to drive a gigi Nikko or to be surrounded by a nugulo of tiger mosquitoes. The in-game commentary of the ghetto is somewhat redundant as well as out of place, otherwise there is very little musical choice.

Arizona bug driver

Arizona Derby is a silly title, too kitsch to be true, as well as buggy and incomplete given the absence of the online and the few circuits available, and surrounded by this air of clandestine races that does not suit him in any way already of his . To see then the realization in toto not even talk about it. The title in question is heavily battered by various kinds of bugs: from audio ones for which, for example, paused, the noise of the vehicle in a loop remains in the background, to the graphic ones seen previously, without then talking about the fact of not being able to disable the sound as in menu paused. Born as a Motorstorm or an Mxgp with GMO monster trucks, but in the end it is the parody of itself. The result is a mismatched title and poorly optimized with found forced ends in themselves.

Mulder and Scully FBI

And the last but not the least, let's not forget the mysterious and impractical pointing on the buttons when buying the vehicle (in the buy car) and especially in the delivery section when you choose all the necessair from the loot-boxes. We hope that the bugs will be solved as soon as possible especially for the owners, it is not for us to say if they are few or not, we opt for the first, with various and possible updates.

A Disaster Movie of the joypad: kitsch, icy and dull.

A title without a soul, without praise, cold and that does not convey any kind of emotion from pointed wheels. It looks like a smartphone game and not a console or a PC, in fact it seems to govern a sort of micromachine enclosed in a soap bubble that runs halfway around the world, also struck by the strobe of a disco. Silly and tacky options like seeing the effect of water on the wheels (in the menu!) Are debatable, to say the least, perhaps only the off-road of the vehicle jolts mechanically has an explanation.

The legend of Al, John and Arizona Driver.

Honorable mention finally for the names of the opposing bots, players like Romano "The Serpente" Praised certainly do not go unnoticed (Soprano or Mafia 2 just avoid!). They seem to come from a spin-off of The Good Fellas, a small note of color in this muddy context. In all senses.
