For some time now Nintendo has entered the world of smartphone, with Miitomo first and with several very successful games, such as Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and the next Mario Kart Tour.

Nothing strange, therefore, to combine the Japanese company with devices that we never abandon today, but it surely intrigues us to know that Nintendo intends to enter the production of gaming smartphones.

Reporting the news is the site DigiTimes, declaring that Nintendo has contacted in recent months several Chinese manufacturers to inquire and sign agreements:

That of gaming smartphones is still a rather niche market segment, however it seems that Nintendo is trying to enter this business, to compete with names like Xiaomi, Nubia and Vivo.

So as done by other manufacturers, therefore, Nintendo would also like to focus on a smartphone dedicated also and above all to the game, a something that can interface with Switch.

Only rumors, of course, at the moment there is nothing official, but if one day we will see Nintendo alongside Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, LG and Apple, we will not be surprised that much.
