Halo Infinite seems to be ready to return during the E3 2019 but it could be a type of game very different from what we imagine. The comments of Kiki Wolfkill a Fortune added further reasons to believe that the study is imagining the title as a Game As Service. Here are his words:
We must be able to change content quickly. We can not afford to wait three years to publish a new product and the games that children play are changing every week.
The reference to a three-year development cycle as obsolete, combined with the very title of Halo Infinite, would seem to suggest that Microsoft and 343 are planning something different. This would also make sense given the reference to the most played titles of the moment such as Fortnite, which periodically releases updates containing new challenges, weapons and objects.
