About eight pages of support tickets, together with users' personal information, have been visible on the Bethesda website for a short period of time or have been sent directly to other users.
The software house soon removed the site, corrected the error and issued a statement on the violation:
We found an error on our customer support website that allowed some customers to view support tickets presented by a limited number of other customers during a short period of time. After the discovery, we immediately removed the website to correct the error. We are still investigating this incident and will provide further updates.
While some reports have suggested that the details of users' credit cards have been compromised, Bethesda states that "no full credit card numbers or passwords have been disclosed". The contrary opinion is this certified user who, on Reddit, claims to have received tickets containing credit card numbers and addresses of residence of several people
In short, one mistake after another.
