Richard, when will Super Seducer II be released?

Richard
The 12 September will be released.

Fraws
Will it only be available on Steam or on other platforms?

Richard
No, this time only on Steam.
We did not try to submit the game to Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft. Perhaps we will try first with Microsoft, but only after publication. We want to make sure that you get good reviews, maybe not much controversy, then we will choose to extend on multiple platforms.

Fraws
Speaking of controversy, how was the first Super Seducer received?

Richard
It was very difficult with the first game. We have received a lot of negative criticism from the global press, mainly from the English-speaking press. But I think ... what's his name? La Repubblica, one of the most popular newspapers in Italy, wrote a bad article without touching the game; it was copied from a bad American article, so ...

Yes, I saw.

Richard
This happened globally.

I noticed that the United States did not really appreciate it, especially the press.

Richard
Yes, even on Twitter there have been insults, as well as on Youtube's comments; there were insults everywhere before the publication of the first game. Yet when the game was released, good videos appeared, lots of people enjoying themselves and good reviews. On Steam, the reviews are at 90% positive in the last 30 days and 85% positive in total, so I'm very satisfied.

Fraws
Yes, because initially the main problem was the press, not the public.

Richard
Only the press, yes.

Fraws
Because people like me, who make videos on Youtube, [or who writes] reviews on independent websites were okay with the game.

Richard
Yes, the video [video game] Dunkey was positive; there were also other players on Twitch or YouTube. Everything seemed to be fine, but at that point the negative press hit us.

Fraws
Is there anything new in Super Seducer II compared to the first chapter?

Richard
Yes, there are many news.
We have two levels with a female perspective, feminine tips, a Tinder level, interactive cabarets, many different endings. I believe only the first level has seven different endings. The aesthetics are much improved, as you may have noticed from the trailer, as the quality of the videos has improved. Yes, there are many, many new things.

Fraws
We have seen that in Super Seducer II it is possible to complete some sequences with the girls, that is from the female perspective, so it is not only our problem!

Richard
Exactly, we have two levels with a female perspective: not only designed only for players, but also for players, because in this way we can understand female psychology in the approach to dating. So the girl at the bar can send "signals" to be approached, and so on.

Fraws
I noticed that the first Super Seducer helped me understand something I was missing. I'll explain: I think I was good with girls, my way of approaching myself was correct. But Super Seducer helped me a lot to understand the mechanisms of approaching different types of girls, because playing I had to face different situations and different personalities]. (…) The business woman, the affable girl, and so on. So, looking from the female perspective in Super Seducer II, shouldn't there also be a difference in the gender of people they approach - that is, the male counterpart?

Richard
Yes, levels with a female perspective will have male approaches that will be excellent or very bad; the girl's goal is to understand and decide to reject or accept the boy's advances.

Fraws
So it will be like the first chapter, but you can select the correct way to behave, but on the female side.

Richard
Exact. Also from a male perspective [there are changes]; in the first game a lot depended on the [location] - on the street, in the bar, in the coffee shop. In this game we have tried to provide more answers, instead of focusing on the "where"; we thought more [to answer] about why and how. For example, how can an older man impress a younger girl, how can an older man impress a girl in a strip club, or on Tinder. We started from this location, then we thought about the location instead of doing the opposite in building the level.

Fraws
So is there a different approach for a girl you know on Tinder?

Richard
Yes, we have a Tinder expert [and therefore] a nice level on Tinder. It's probably the second most expensive level to make because it took many shots, as we have six different people in the cast. It's a great level, and should be very cool for those using Tinder.

Fraws
So it is different to approach a girl on Tinder because we know that we know each other to get elsewhere.

Richard
Yeah, well, women don't appreciate it when you assume they're looking for sex. As a result there are a lot of mistakes that men make on Tinder, so in that level we start with choosing the photos and profiles. This is what we learned from several Tinder experts about how the [app's] algorithm works and so on. We attempted to include the "science of Tinder".

Fraws
This reminds me of a question you ask yourself during the first interview, that is, how sentimental relationships have changed in the internet age.

Richard
It's all very different, as a result many people have lost interpersonal skills in the real world. So I included the level on Tinder because I know today's guys use Tinder, yet I always encourage you to be sociable and get to know a lot of women in real life.

Fraws
Super Seducer II will have Italian subtitles as the first [game]?

Richard
You will have [subtitles in] the Italian language, but not as for the first game. In the first game someone produced subtitles for a modest fee, about 500 euros for the whole game. Italian players told me that the translation was bad ...

Me too!

Richard
very stupid. So, this time we hired a very expensive specialized agency, it should be very, very efficient. It is very expensive, but I am investing to get good results in Italy. The first translator was ready to produce subtitles for the second game, again at a modest price, but this time we paid 7.000 euros for the Italian translation.

Fraws
We appreciate it!

I hope it's really better.

We are at the end of the interview. Did nothing funny happen to you after the release of Super Seducer?

Richard

For example, in my community, among friends, the strawberry field test has become very popular.

Richard
I think Mahmud is the famous character [of the first game]. I quote quickly, Mahmud, in the first game; It has become a popular meme. Even when I posted the trailer for the second game, there were some comments like "Where is Mahmud?", "We want a Mahmud DLC!", And so on. As a result, [Mahmud] has its own level in the game. I could not tell other special moments after Super Seducer I; many crazy, funny, positive and negative things have happened. Nothing that is noteworthy.

If you are publishing a sequel, I imagine that most [of the events] were positive.

Richard
Yes, I mean, there are two reasons why we have a sequel. The first game sold well enough, but we also knew we could do better. So what we did with Super Seducer I was an attempt, we did our best. We made a lot of mistakes, along with things we could have done better. With Super Seducer II I'm really very happy with how we operated; at the time we would have done Super Seducer 3 * only if the previous one had been very successful. Super Seducer II aims to be something I'm proud of. I'm more or less proud of the first game, but I could have done better, which is why we continued with the second.
