Monster Hunter World is the best-selling title ever made by Capcom and transforms the series from a purely oriental niche to a real world blockbuster. Thanks to this success, Capcom has received many questions from shareholders on the possibility that Monster Hunter World will arrive on other consoles, especially on Nintendo Switch. Whenever the question was asked, Capcom referred to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and always said that World would be hard pressed to switch to Switch.

From a recent shareholders' meeting, Capcom decided to speak more clearly and announced that Monster Hunter World can not get to Nintendo Switch. It is unclear whether this can not be done due to a marketing agreement or is technologically impossible. Earlier this year, Adam Boyes, CEO of Iron Galaxy, said he was confident he could transfer World on Switch but it does not look like Capcom accepted the offer.
