THQ Nordic has made a significant purchase, incorporating Koch Media e Deep Silver for 121 million euros. This means that the publisher of Darksiders now owns Saints Row licenses, the creator of Galaxy on Fire, Fishlabs Entertainment, and the Homefront developer, Dambuster.
THQ will also obtain exclusive rights for the series of 4A, Metro, And Metro Exodus. There are currently no restructuring plans or cost reduction plans for Koch Media.
The German organization will continue to operate as a separate entity and will have the task of continuing its current series of publications. THQ believes that the company can become a more stable entity under its leadership. Recall that Koch comes from a series of commercial flops like Homefront e Agents of Mayhem. Here are the words of the company:
Having a greater development capacity and pipeline, more intellectual properties and greater publishing capacity through THQ Nordic and Deep Silver, the combined group has greater capacity and flexibility, thus creating a more stable operation. We will monitor and delegate resources to support Koch Media's business to ensure quality and a good return on investment in its large internal development projects. With the expertise that THQ Nordic has at management level, Koch Media will be in a better position to offer the full potential of its development projects in the future.
