Bluehole, the developers of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, through a post on the forums of Steam, have shared information about the new features that will be added to the game with the upcoming update.

In addition to a new map set in the desert, the developer is currently working on adding the 'climbing animation. However, since the feature will have a significant impact on the gameplay, that feature will be tested for "at least one month" before going online.

The content and functions that will be on test servers must be tested for at least 2 or 4 weeks, "said Bluehole. "It will be very difficult for us to provide a stable service if we publish live updates after short tests. Since we would like to go through rigorous testing to prepare the official launch, we will not publish new content on servers and run tests for a longer period of time.

Bluehole says players will be able to test the climbing mechanics "at the end of October or early November". Before release, the developer will release a "small" patch this week, the final one before the developer starts preparations for PUBG's official launch.
