I must tell you the truth. From the first day I saw Wild West Online I went completely tilt. Maybe unconditional love for the western setting, perhaps the immense affection for a certain Red Dead Redemption, perhaps the latent addiction that each of us has, secretly or not, for MMOs. The fact is that I did not hesitate a moment to follow immediately any possible updates and, of course, to pre-order my copy. Three available editions: Townie, Pioneer, Collector. In addition to the various in-game bonuses, Collector and Pioneer also allow access to Alpha, as well as Beta.
Having made the preorder a while ago, it was for several days that I visited the site page daily, waiting for news.
Finally 3 days ago the news came. The site has been updated, revealing the long-awaited release date of the Closed Alpha: 15 September.
A few hours ago, however, the post on Facebook published by official page of Wild West Online that reveals further details. In short words, Alpha will be divided into two parts. The first, the one that starts the 15 September, will be composed of three three-day breaks. The second, the one in which "the game's robustness and the capacity of its servers will be" seriously tested ", will take place from October 10 to 15 November continuously and with dedicated 24 / 7 servers. We do not know if the in-game goals will be saved or if, for Beta, they will be reset. Talking about Beta, no information has been given about it and, for now, we will have to be content with Alpha. Not bad for me, I'm sorry for those who booked the Townie Edition. I'm with you!
I can not wait to put my hands on this title, which I hope with all my heart does not notice a new Day-Z or anyhow a clamorous flop.
